Series 850, Series 830 and Model 840 RTD Sensors

Instrulab offers three types of Platinum RTD 100 ohm sensors, the 850 Series Industrial Grade, the 830 Series Laboratory Grade and the Model 840 Secondary Standard.

In order to determine the "worse case" error, the combination of  sensor error plus the instrument error, system uncertainty, should be calculated  A Chart of System Uncertainity has been provided for all Instrulab instruments and sensors combinations for your convenience.

Each custom calibrated sensor includes the following documentation:

      • Date, model and serial number of the sensor.

      • Measured temperature and reading taken, in ohms.

      • Calibrated constants; ITS-90 coefficients.

      • Resistance vs. Temperature table printout in increments of 5* or 10*, as required, with 0.001 ohms resolution.

      • For use with all Instrulab RTD Instruments

Industrial Grade, 850 Series

The 850 Series industrial grade platinum resistance thermometers are designed for applications requiring better accuracy and stability than typical industrial sensors.

      • Temperature range -200* to +400*C (-330*F to +750*F)

      • May be calibrated from -100* to +400*C

      • Transition fitting maximum temperature: 150*C.

Laboratory Grade, 830 Series

The 830 Series laboratory grade platinum resistance thermometers are designed for use in applications requiring accuracies unattainable by industrial grade sensors.

      • Temperature range -100* to +400*C (-150* to +750*F)

      • May be calibrated full range

      • Transition fitting maximum temperature: 260*C.

Secondary Standard, Model 840

The Model 840 is designed to be a reasonable and affordable alternative to fragile and expensive metrology grade sensors.

      • Temperature range -200* to +500*C (-328* to 932*F)

      • May be calibrated from -200* to +400*C (extrapolated to +500*C)

      • Transition fitting maximum temperature: 150*C.
