All About Instrulab

Service Division Now Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025

Founded in 1948

Instrulab was founded in 1948 to sell and service industrial instrumentation to local manufacturers, schools, and laboratories. Our product line included instrumentation to monitor, record, and control various manufacturing and quality control processes.

1960

Instrulab develops Evenvolt®, a highly accurate and stable voltage reference to eliminate the battery, standard cell and standardizing mechanism in potentiometric-type instruments. As the market for Evenvolt® references increased, the company was divided into two divisions: Manufacturing, which focused its attention on other precision voltage references, and Service, which focused on servicing temperature instrumentation in the local area.

1972

Instrulab patents a circuit that linearized the non-linear curve of Platinum RTD sensors, thus allowing these sensors to be read directly as temperature on a digital display. With the development of microprocessors, Instrulab introduced a complete line of highly accurate temperature-measuring instruments for Platinum RTD and thermistor sensors.

Today

Instrulab is a manufacturer of highly stable, highly accurate, Platinum RTD digital temperature instrumentation. Instrulab digital temperature indicators are found in Navy, Air Force and NASA calibration labs, a multitude of major corporations, or anywhere highly accurate temperature measurement is required. Instrulab specializes in metrology grade temperature instrumentation with system uncertainties as high as ±0.004°C.

All of Instrulab’s calibration services are traceable to NIST and conform to the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).
